By pure chance Paul has an uncanny resemblance to Charlie Hodge and together with his need to always be onstage performing, he is ideal for the role!

Charlie Hodge spent 17 years as a rhythm guitarist and backup singer in support of his old Army buddy Elvis Presley. Affectionately called “Cholly” by Elvis he was his right hand man on stage and supported him through every performance.

Paul and Jason are great friends off stage and have the same kind of rapport shared between Charlie and Elvis on all those concert videos we know so well.

Pauls vocal talent means that he can sing great harmonies with Jason and he gets right into the part of giving him his scarves and a glass of water when he needs it. The relationship between the two of them is a very humorous one and you will notice little smirks between the them on stage.

In the photo above Paul takes on one of Charlies roles during a show which was putting on Elvis’ cape for him. However a bit of a standing joke now between the crew is that Paul hasn’t quite got up to speed with that yet and it can take some time – so bear with him!
